Budgets Due

Singapore:
· It was all work, no fun!! :)
· Detailed report to follow.
· Other schools do not really have functional career center.
· We have a real advantage on that front
· VP of Marketing and External Dept.
· MBA program is a incubator for creative ideas, lots of ideas from/and supported by students are eventually implemented by programs office or BCC
· Preview weekends tend to be funded by programs offices, but entirely run by students
· Marketing and communication could improve, or be tweaked.
· Professionalism - other schools have punishment system for broken RSVPs.
· Conference has gone international in last two years to emphasize global focus.

EVP - Leave of Absence Vote
· Potential solution for Kien's absence to China in the fall
· Bring in someone (Liza Turley) to act as stand in for Kien in the fall. They will act as liaison to club officers in fall.
· Kien will resume his role when he returns in winter quarter.
· Proposition has to be approved by MBAA team.
· Leaving is not against constitution, and has happened in years prior.

Status Reports
· PACCAR Teaching award survey is opening this week and will remain open until the first week in May.
· The teaching award is a $25,000 stipend for UW professors, the award is not focused toward research but as an incentive to retain talented professors. Professors can only win once every 5 years.
· Please help hype this up and vote!
· Graduation Volunteers needed - only 10 spots available, please let Steffenie know if you are interested.
· Admit weekend went well.
· In process of planning something to help incoming international students adjust smoothly next year.
· Coffee Breaks - classmates will be recognized for doing a good job - nominees welcome
· Example - club of the year award or club officer of the year awards
· C4C volunteers mentioned.
· Liza Turley - arranged an awesome company visit this week.
· Leadership dinner - May 16th, what is this? Are we required to go? Who is invited?
