Meeting Notes:

Welcome to new first year reps and evening reps!!!

· MBAA Support Group - Craig Wiley
o Looking at the best way to support MBAA with first years who want to be involved
· Craig emailed out to both full time and evening students to feel out desire to be involved
· Created survey and sent out to respondents
· Summary provided at meeting - emailed out MBAA 2008
· Jonathon and MBAA exec, touched on this at our last exec meeting.
· The idea is to have an opt in email list with weekly job tasks
§ Best to prioritize level of importance
· Anshu - Lounge Security issues
o Kevin Thomas found a undergraduate in the lounge, and she was printing on Mabel
o There has been discussion about having a message outside the lounge commenting on how its for MBA students only
o Don't feel bad about asking unfamiliar students if they are new students or what program they are in.
o If PhD students want to use the lounge, they can register with MBAA and just not use the printer (potentially)
o Theft has been an issue in the past, we have considering installing cameras in the lounge
o People need to be aware that your stuff is someone at risk.
o What happened to student reader for mabel, not charging cards but controlling the process
· White Board -
o Kien wants a big white board in the lounge, the old one looked awful so it was removed
o Wants us to order a new white board for the lounge
o Location is important - why not use a bulletin board so the appearance is nicer
o What is the usefulness of the white board? Messaging was getting ignored (email) this was supposed to be a potential solution
· Constitution Updates
o There are proposed constitutional updates from 2006, that haven't gone into the constitution
o Will address this further in the future
· Project Update Form
