Thanks to Tareyn for a fantastic kickoff summer TG. It was a very fun night and we had good turnout, both from GMBA students -- who are truly in the thick of things with their intensive summer study schedule -- and from incoming full-time students. Several students paid their MBAA dues early, and Tatiana Shamgunova, GMBA student, won the raffle for early dues payment.

I will be sending out a message to the incoming students, to be included in an upcoming admissions newsletter. The one that Bonnie sent out last year is attached. I'm planning on following the same general format. If you have a moment, feel free to take a look at her message from last year and share any suggestions you might have for me for tailoring this message for next year's incoming class.

This year's LEAD week schedule is attached. The schedule is completely set in stone -- Steffenie, Katie, and I are still discussing some of the evening events and those should be hammered out soon. Steffenie has about 25 volunteers currently, and has not yet signed people up for specific timeslots yet. Please let her know <sbirk@u.washington.edu> if you're available to volunteer for LEAD week.

I've coordinated a happy hour gathering tomorrow night for interns and alums over on the eastside -- but all are welcome! It will be at Daniel's Broiler: 10500 NE 8th, 21st floor , Bellevue, from 4:30 - 8:00pm tomorrow evening.
