MPC Rep Announcement
Congratulations to Garima Bansal and George Hsieh who will be representing the 1st Year MBAs as Masters Program Committee (MPC) reps. TheMasters Program Committee has the responsibility to review changes to the courses offered in all UW business school masters programs, and review any new programs. The MPC members are faculty members and student representatives. As a member of the MPC, they have a great opportunity to influence changes in the MBA program. We want to thank all of the other candidates who ran for these positions. It was great to see the enthusiasm. Please remember there will be many other opportunities in winter and spring quarter to take leadership roles within the MBA community. Please stay tuned for those announcements. *******************************************************************
Badminton, Buddies, and Blogs Abroad (from Paul Killian)
Cortilia Lin’kedin has been working overtime keeping us connected, comfortable and happy. With Sarah and Luke, Cortilia has launched the Buddy System to help international students better adjust to life in a new country. She also does an awesome job keeping us connected with students studying abroad (and makes us laugh in the process.) My personal favorite - she has organized badminton games at the IMA (who knew that was available!?) *****************************************************************
A Big Thank You!! (from Jerri, Matt, Jeri, and Kien)
Thank you Cortilia for doing a fantastic job as GBA president and more specifically keeping all of the exchange students (both us abroad and those at UW) informed and in contact with everyone else. From maintaining the blog email reminders, she has been absolutely wonderful. *****************************************************************
Fall Party - Successful Again (from Liza and Abijay)
A big Thank You Steff for putting on a great Fall Party last Saturday night. It was a hugh turnout. It was great to see many evening students and significant others join the party. *****************************************************************
Ideas for Holiday Shopping - Find it here (from Kevin Thomas and Kien Ha)
Tiz the holiday season. Most of us are starting to think about studying for finals with shopping for gifts in the back of your mind. Don't fret. You can always turn to buying UW MBA gear as a great gift for your family and friends. We still have beer pint glasses, business case holders, and sports water bottle. We also have T-shirts available in a variety of colors and design. ****************************************************************
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!
